South Florida Patients Sue Merck & Co.Mar 16, 2005 Our firm is leading the charge in South Florida against Merck & Co., the makers of Vioxx. We have filed numerous lawsuits in Federal Court, in the Southern District of Florida, alleging that Merck knew that Vioxx was dangerous, especially to those patients with pre-existing cardiac conditions. Yet Merck aggressively marketed Vioxx to physicians and spent 500 million dollars advertising Vioxx. Ignoring the dangers and several studies that found that the use of Vioxx caused, or significantly contributed, to heart attacks and strokes. We are committed to pursuing these cases and we are working closely with other firms around the country to ensure that patients' rights are protected. Anyone who has suffered a heart attack or stroke while using Vioxx should seek a legal consultation. In many cases, the use of Vioxx has caused, or significantly contributed to, heart attacks or strokes in many unsuspecting victims. << Back to eNewsletter Archive Practice Areas |
